home decor gifts: holiday gift guide 2022

Welcome to another installment of my holiday gift guide series! For the edition, I’m giving you some suggestions for the best home decor gifts! All of these gifts are perfect for that friend who is always buying new stuff to spruce their home up. Whether they just moved, want to give their home some new life, or just generally love getting new lil accessories for their home – you’ll find the perfect thing for them here!

I broke it down into different price points to make it easier to find the gift that’s perfect for your price range. So no matter what your budget is, you’ll find a good option on this list.

here are the best home decor gifts

Let’s start with some really budget-friendly gifts. If you’re just doing a small gift for a friend, a gift exchange with a price limit, or you want some ideas to top off a gift you already got, this is for you. Everything on this list is under $25.

home decor gifts $25 and under

electric candle lighter, Amazon – $12

Someone gifted me an electric candle lighter for Christmas last year, and it’s one of the most useful gifts I’ve ever gotten.

Instead of having to constantly buy those ugly, disposable lighters, this one looks nice and can be recharged with a micro-USB plug.

flower-shaped snack bowls, Uncommon Goods – $20

I don’t know about you, but I hate dirtying a big cereal-sized bowl if I just want a little handful of goldfish or pretzels or something. And I’m sure your friend does, too.

These cute little bowls will make their snack a little bit more fun, and they’re the perfect size.

You may want to consider this gift extra hard if your friend has open shelving! Perfect display item.

agate bookends, West Elm – $25

It’s the little details that give a home that little extra pizzazz.

Bookends are such a great option for a lower cost gift that can help them make a big impact in their home.

alabaster coasters, set of 4, Crate & Barrel – $20

Coasters are one of my favorite presents to give. It’s not something that people would often buy themselves, but they’re such a cute addition to any coffee table.

These one from Crate & Barrel are really cute and simple. But feel free to look around at other coasters that might fit the vibe of the person you’re buying for more.

smart light bulbs set of 2, Amazon – $17

Light bulbs are an underrated component of interior decorating. But good lighting makes all the difference.

This set of 2 smart lightbulbs will let whoever you gift them to control the light color from an app on their phone. It’s such a fun and easy way to switch up the vibe of a room.

cat cheese board, Etsy – $23

If the person you’re looking for a gift for loves entertaining, a nice cheese board is always a good idea.

This cute, quirky one under $25 is perfect if they also love animals.

diana ring holder, Urban Outfitters – $19

Unique little accent pieces like this ring holder are such great gifts to give anyone’s home a little extra spice.

home decor gifts $75 and under

bar tools set, West Elm – $70

A good set of bar tools is a necessity in any home, I think.

This beautiful brass set is the perfect one to get anyone’s bar cart/cabinet collection started.

goober candle, Areaware – $30

This fun candle would be a great addition to the home of anyone who loves a little fun in their decor.

But don’t be offended if they never burn it. I probably wouldn’t either – who would want to mess up this goofy shape?

Purple Goober candle - bulbous, goofy-shaped candle

Himalyan salt tequila glasses, Uncommon Goods – $30

If the person you’re getting a gift for has tons of tourist-y shot glasses but no stylish ones, I’ve got an idea for you.

Not only are these shot glasses beautiful, but they also are made of himalayan salt – a built in tequila shot chaser.

early bird 1000-piece puzzle, Piecework – $36

Who doesn’t love a good puzzle?

Especially when they’re something you could potentially frame and keep to show off your accomplishment when you’re done.

BONUS: this whole site of awesome, unique puzzles is 20% off during their Black Friday sale.

The Iconic Interior coffee table book, Barnes & Noble – $35

I included coffee table books on one of my other gift guides this year, but there’s a good reason for it. This is such a great gift for any design lover. But they’re usually just a little too expensive for us to want to buy for ourselves.

This one about the evolution of interior design through the 1900s is a great option, but there are so many other oversized coffee table books on a variety of other subjects.

hanging planter/propagation station, Etsy – $50

If I know one thing about plant lovers, it’s that they go crazy for a cute planter.

This hanging propagation station comes in a variety of colors, so you can pick whatever fits their home best.

gifts over $75

If you’re looking to splurge a little bit, consider some of these gifts. If the person you’re buying for really values long-lasting, high quality gifts, these are some great options.

custom throw blanket, Baublebar – $88

A home can never have too many blankets. And if it can be tastefully customized, even better.

These super high quality blankets can be customized with your recipient’s initial and favorite color scheme.

Exclusive Multicolor Handmade CD Rug, SSENSE – $188

Give your friend a major statement piece for their home that’s guaranteed to get their guest’s attention.

I’ve seen some rugs that have specific artists/albums on them, but I love this one that’s more genre-agnostic – so it’s perfectly for any music lover in your life.

multi-color LED floor lamp, Uncommon Goods – $125

LED lights are all the rage on social media right now. But they can sometimes look a little juvenile. This unique lamp is a great gift for someone who wants to give the LED trend a spin in a more mature way.

SYMFONISK speaker lamp, Ikea – $180

I have had this lamp (albeit the first version) for years, and I still love it so much.

It would be a great addition to anyone’s office, bedroom, or dining room. It’s really nice, soft lighting, and because it’s a collab with Sonos, the audio quality is amazing.

Calm meditation cushion, Tuft & Needle – $90

Need a gift idea for your extra zen friend?

This meditation pillow is a great gift to show someone that you value their ability to be mindful – and their comfort.

personal concrete fireplace, Huckberry – $100

Give your loved one the gift of luxury.

This little portable fireplace is so cute and so great for anyone who is lacking in outside space or doesn’t have a fireplace, but they still want those cozy, marshmallow roasting nights.
